An architectural light sculpture is constructed through the work of discovering light hidden in the ground. We propose a framework that applies the work of carving solid mass or creating a gap to architecture. Through the conversion of physical elements of architecture, landscape architecture, and landscape lighting, the light sculpture becomes a luminous body. The concept is that the light inside the architectural program is changed into the shape of a light sculpture of a luminous body at night. The 'light of Gwangju' is expressed by various changes due to internal events and landscape lighting. Imagine a hotel with different scenery during the day and at night.
Insert the 'window of a new topography' called 'the window of a thousand windows'. The 'window of a new topography' can be said to be the intervention of a new imagination acting on the homogeneous space of a homogeneous hotel. It proposes a window as a device that coordinates the relationship related to new settings and patterns of external architecture such as the interior scenery of the room and sculptures.
대지에 숨어 있는 빛을 발견해내는 작업을 통해 건축적 빛조각(Light sculpture)을 구성한다. 솔리드한 매스를 조각하거나 틈새를 만드는 작업을 건축에 적용하는 틀을 제안한다. 건축과 조경, 경관 조명의 물리적 요소의 변환을 통해서 빛조각은 발광체가 된다. 건축적 프로그램의 내부의 빛이 야간에 발광체의 빛조각의 모습으로 변화되는 것이 개념이다. 내부 이벤트와 경관조명에 의해서 다양한 변화에 의하여 ‘광주성의 빛’을 표현한다. 낮과 밤의 풍경이 다른 호텔을 상상한다.
‘천개의 창’이라는 ‘새로운 지형의 창’을 끼워 넣는다. ‘새로운 지형의 창’은 균질화된 호텔이라는 균질공간에 작용하는 새로운 상상력의 개입이라 할 수 있다. 객실의 내부적 풍경과 조형물과 같은 외부적 건축의 패턴 사이에 대한 새로운 설정과 연관된 관계를 조율하는 장치로써의 창을 제안한다.
